To accompany the Blick Mead dig on its return this October, the Amesbury History Centre will be playing host to a series of lectures from experts of the dig. The line up of talks is as follows:
Friday 5th October 7pm – 8pm – Professor Graeme Davis – Blick Mead and the Ruins
Saturday 6th October 6.45pm – 7.34pm – Ron Edwards (Florida, USA) – Monuments and Alignments
Monday 8th October 7pm – 8pm – Nettie Baskcomb-Brown (University of Buckingham) – Seasonality of Blick Mead
Saturday 13th October 7pm – 8pm – David Saunders (University of Buckingham) – Humps, Bumps and Cursus Monuments
Monday 15th October 7pm – 8pm – David Jacques (University of Buckingham) – The dig so far
Other talks by Professor Lance Russum of Polk State, Florida and Dr Barry Bishop of the University of Buckingham are planned, dates to be confirmed.
All talks will take place at the Amesbury History Centre, Church Lane, Amesbury.
